Quality of management

Many managers regard quality objectives as another useless tool. Wrong!

Revision of ISO 9001:2015 rather hastily slimmed down principles of quality management. Point 0.2 of the standard presents not 8, but 7 principles. The removed one is system approach to management. Was it unnecessary?

The new requirements of ISO 9001:2015 are sometimes enigmatic. I will try to clear them up. I begin with the context of the organization.

Development of the information technology accelerates growth of globalization, however, this relationship is two-directional. Global economy affects the ways of thinking about information management. Awareness of this fact among the companies executives grows, but still is insufficient. The major roles in top management decisions are played by economic effects, whereas information security problems are often overlooked.

In this part of the paper only changes related to implementation of risk management are discussed. It should be noted, that there are other changes in the ISO 9001:2015 standard, which are not of interest to this article.
